AFL Players Association - Head of Legal
The AFL Players’ Association is looking for a Head of Legal to join its Legal & Player Affairs team. Reporting to the GM – Legal & Player Affairs, the Head of Legal will be responsible for representing the collective interests of AFLPA’s members, legal support for individual members and the AFLPA business and ensuring AFLPA’s compliance with its legal obligations.
AFLPA’s work is dynamic and ever-changing as the AFL industry continues to grow. The Legal & Player Affairs team is involved in the decision-making for key issues facing AFL players, both female and male, and the AFLPA. To be successful in the role, the Head of Legal will need to be able to provide timely, accurate and practical legal advice taking into account various stakeholders within the AFL industry. The candidate must be able to demonstrate 5+ years’ legal experience in either private legal practice or in-house roles, have outstanding presentation capabilities, be highly motivated and be excited by the challenge of working in football.
