Sports Law Scholarship

As part of its commitment to legal education, ANZSLA is delighted to announce an annual scholarship programme to support an individual who wishes to engage in legal research in the area of Sports Law.  The award is available to those ANZSLA members who are either planning to study or who are currently enrolled in a graduate academic programme in a university or similar tertiary education provider, or in a course of studies that has a demonstrable sports law component.

In the event that the Selection Committee decides that there shall be more than one applicant, the amount awarded to each successful applicant will be determined by the Selection Board but shall not exceed more than $10,000 in total for the 2020 2021 inaugural scholarship.

Applications for the scholarship programme closed on 31 August and ANZSLA received an overwhelming response from members, with many outstanding applications submitted.

The Selection Committee has made its decision and announced that James Moller (Sporting Integrity Intelligence Unit, Victoria Police) is the recipient of the $10,000 inaugural ANZSLA Sports Law Scholarship award - many congratulations, James!
