In the first article for this edition, Victoria University student, Lachlan Scully, argues that the ban in Victoria on Mixed Martial Arts fights being conducted in cages should be lifted. In the second article, Rob Harris a Senior Solicitor and Aaron Lloyd a Partner at Minter Ellison Rudd Watts Lawyers Auckland review a recent amendment to the Crimes Act aimed at outlawing match fixing where betting is involved. In her President’s column, Venetia Stewart revisits the Adelaide conference and looks forward to a summer feast of sports and next year’s conference in Melbourne to celebrate the 25th anniversary of ANZSLA.
