ANZSLA f2f Event: Beyond the Final Whistle: Trends & Developments in Domestic & International Sports Arbitration

The ANZSLA Young Members Subcommittee invites members and guests to a special lunchtime panel event on sports arbitration taking place in Melbourne during Australian Arbitration Week 2026 titled Beyond the Final Whistle: Trends and Developments in Domestic and International Sports Arbitration.

Drawing on their extensive experience as practising advocates and arbitrators in sports arbitration proceedings, the panel will explore how sports arbitration operates in practice, discuss recent Australian and international court judgments and arbitral awards relating to sports law (including decisions of the National Sports Tribunal and the Court of Arbitration for Sport), and provide advocacy tips for appearing before sports tribunals and arbitration panels.

Lunch will be provided at the event, and the panel discussion will be followed by networking.

Legal practitioners may claim CPD for attendance at this event.

The event is free to attend and is generously supported by Lander & Rogers.  Places are limited and registration will open to ANZSLA members on 21 September and to the general public on 25 September.
