Conference Programme

This year’s not to be missed programme features international keynote addresses from Prof Dr Ulrich Hass (University of Zurich) and Mauren Weston (Professor of Law, Pepperdine University Caruso School of Law and Director of the Entertainment, Media & Sports Dispute Resolution Project).  Conference sessions will cover a broad range of current topics by leading experts in the field of sports law.  Sessions include: anti-doping; AI and digitalisation of sport; Brisbane 2032 Olympic & Paralympic Games; corruption and collusion in major sporting events; legal representation before National Sports Tribunals; wagering in sports; and employment law.  Also featured are our regular conference sessions: the Sports Law Case Update, In-House Counsel session, and the Ethics Debate.

Social Programme

The conference’s sensational social programme also promises not to disappoint.  It begins with pre-conference drinks on Tuesday evening at the Wet Bar, W Hotel.  The President’s Reception will then be held after the first day’s conference proceedings, providing attendees with a chance to continue discussions from the day’s thought-provoking sessions.  The social programme highlight is the Conference Dinner, which will be held at Howard Smith Wharves at the conclusion of the two-day conference – a fantastic opportunity to reflect on the conference and continue the debate!

As foreshadowed, this year’s programme also features exciting additional social activities on the day following the conference.  These events are designed to give attendees the chance to experience the best of Brisbane while enjoying further networking opportunities.

We look forward to welcoming you to Brisbane in October!

Kind regards,

ANZSLA
