LEGAL COUNSEL - CRICKET AUSTRALIA

We’re looking for a driven Legal Counsel to join our Legal team.  The role will suit a junior-mid level lawyer who has a commercial / corporate background and strong inter-personal skills.

Reporting to the Head of Legal Services, you’ll be responsible for reviewing, negotiating and drafting major agreements affecting Cricket Australia and providing legal advice across our wide range of business operations.  You will use your excellent communication and relationship building skills to partner with the organisation to drive process improvement and commercial solutions.

LEGAL COUNSEL - RACING VICTORIA

About Us:

Racing Victoria (RV) is one of Australia’s leading sporting organisations and the independent governing body of thoroughbred racing in Victoria. We develop, promote, and manage the conduct of the racing of thoroughbred horses in Victoria to safeguard its integrity.

RV are looking for a suitably qualified Legal Counsel- Media, Corporate & Commercial to join our Legal and Compliance team, reporting to the Senior Legal Counsel – Media, Corporate and Commercial.

About the Opportunity:

The primary objective of this role is to provide corporate and commercial legal advice and services to Racing Victoria Limited (RV) and its subsidiaries across its media, corporate, commercial, racing operations, IT/data, welfare, veterinary and integrity functions.

This role will include working closely with the RV group’s media businesses (primarily Racing.com, but also Best Bets, Winning Post and Racing Photos), and the provision of advice regarding media rights arrangements and distribution both in Australia and internationally. You will need to work between the RV head office in Flemington and the media business in Docklands.

You will be joining a sociable and high-performing team that is supportive and understands the importance of balance and employee welfare.
