ANZSLA invites you to attend a webinar providing an update on the new 2021 WADA Code provisions and their practical implications with distinguished guest speakers, Nick Paterson (Chief Executive, Drug Free Sport New Zealand), and Paul David QC (Barrister, Eldon Chambers). The session will be introduced by Rebecca Hooper (ANZSLA Director; and Legal Counsel, ICC Women's Cricket World Cup 2022).

Nick Paterson, Chief Executive, Drug Free Sport New Zealand 

 

Nick Paterson joined Drug Free Sport New Zealand in July, 2017. Since then he has made multiple submissions to WADA on the development of the new Code, as well as speaking at WADA’s World Conference on Doping in Sport last year. DFSNZ’s focus now is on how the new Code will be implemented. Before joining DFSNZ, he was General Manager, Investigations at the Serious Fraud Office.

Paul David QC, Barrister, Eldon Chambers

 

Paul has over 30 years’ experience as counsel. He was appointed Queen’s Counsel in 2014. Paul practises primarily in commercial litigation. He is an acknowledged leader in his areas of specialism - maritime law and sports law. 

 

Paul is an arbitrator in the Court of Arbitration for Sport and has recently accepted appointment to the CAS Anti-Doping Division in the list of Presidents and sole arbitrators. He is also the author of “A Guide to the World Anti-Doping Code” (third edition 2017).
