I am delighted to invite you to attend the 28th annual ANZSLA conference on the Gold Coast.
The Gold Coast is blessed with beautiful beaches, stunning hinterland and fantastic weather – the perfect complement for the world-class program we have lined up for you.
It’s a very exciting time to be a sports lawyer and in addition to crowd favourites like Hayden Opie’s case law update, our 2018 program will explore topical issues such as transgender and intersex issues in the sporting arena, pay equality issues impacting on the rise of women in sport and where things are headed for sports integrity post the James Wood review.
We’ll hear from the likes of Simon Gardiner from, Leeds Beckett University, Zali Steggall, lawyer and Olympic bronze medallist, Annabelle Williams, Legal Counsel for the Australian Olympic Committee and Paralympian and Sarah Kelly from the University of Queensland and Brisbane Lions Board.
Whilst our program will keep you informed, our social events will keep you connected. There will be plenty of opportunity for networking at the President’s Welcome Reception at the QT Hotel and the official conference dinner at the Skypoint Observation Deck – not to mention the networking you could do during a morning beach walk!
Our 2018 conference is shaping up as a not be missed event, so register early and secure your place. We can’t wait to welcome you!
